Unico Celebrates Two Finalists in Heating Installer Awards 2026

The Unico System UK, based in Birmingham, West Midlands, is delighted to announce that two of its Unico Specialist Partners (USPs) have been shortlisted in the Best HVAC Installer category at the Heating Installer Awards 2026.

James Lacey of JLN Plumbing & Heating Limited and Matthew Bird of Devon Renewables have both been recognised for their outstanding projects featuring The Unico System. Notably, two of the four finalists in this category are Unico Specialist Partners, highlighting the growing impact of Unico’s innovative HVAC solutions across the UK.

The Heating Installer Awards celebrate excellence within the industry, recognising installers who demonstrate technical expertise, high-quality workmanship and customer-focused solutions. The winners will be announced at InstallerSHOW 2026 at the NEC Birmingham this June, one of the UK’s leading events for heating and plumbing professionals.

Both shortlisted projects showcase how The Unico System can be successfully integrated with modern, renewable technologies to deliver efficient, discreet and high-performance heating, cooling and ventilation.

James Lacey’s project involved transforming a bungalow property with a Unico System paired with an air source heat pump, replacing inefficient electric heating with a practical, year-round solution that delivers improved comfort, air quality and energy performance.

Matthew Bird’s project focused on upgrading a family home by replacing a traditional gas boiler and radiators with a renewable, future-ready system, combining a heat pump with Unico’s discreet small-duct solution to provide heating, cooling and enhanced indoor air quality throughout the property.

Through continuous training and close collaboration, the company works alongside its Specialist Partners to ensure every system is expertly designed, installed and supported to the highest standard.

Richard Soper, CEO of The Unico System UK, comments, “We are incredibly proud to see two of our Unico Specialist Partners recognised as finalists in this year’s Heating Installer Awards. This is a testament not only to their expertise and dedication, but also to the versatility and performance of The Unico System in delivering modern, energy-efficient home comfort solutions.”

The public vote now plays a key role in determining the winners, contributing to the overall scoring alongside the judge’s assessments and technical challenges that are set and marked by leading industry body, The Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering (CIPHE).

Supporters are encouraged to cast their vote and help recognise the outstanding work of these installers: https://heatinginstallerawards.co.uk/vote/hvac-2026-shortlist/

Finalists will each receive CIPHE membership, recognising their professionalism and commitment to industry standards. This membership provides access to professional support, training and industry resources.
